Customised BlackBerry Smartphones for China

Research In Motion Ltd (RIM) to hunt the world’s largest mobile-phone market with a customized version of BlackBerry for China. The distribution is through the largest IT services provider in China, Digital China Holdings Limited, along with the partner Lenova Group Ltd. RIM and Digital China publicized a distribution agreement for BlackBerry smartphones in the country.

The BlackBerry handset targeted to the personal users and small businesses in China. Though, BlackBerry is not a new term for China market, the limited availability offered by China Mobile may be helpful for RIM to make a new wave in the market with the collaboration of Digital china.

Commenting on the partnership, Guo Wei, Chairman and CEO, Digital China, said, “As the leading IT service provider and distributor in China, Digital China has always believed in advanced and cutting-edge products that deliver value to Chinese customers. Through this collaboration, RIM will leverage Digital China’s proven professional services and nationwide coverage to reach more customers and to increase the visibility of the BlackBerry solution across the country.”

Very soon, just after publishing the partnership deal and introduction of BlackBerry smartphones by RIM in China, there was an increase in RIMs’ shares. The reviewers hope as it happens in Indonesian market, RIM will expand the opportunity for its market presence in China. For that, RIM is to accelerate the BlackBerry brand name as a key factor of its success in China.

China Mobiles’ chairman, Wang Jianzhiu informed that it will introduce a technology, very soon, either BlackBerry devices supporting China’s TD-SCDMA, or the time division synchronous code division multiple access. The BlackBerry handset uses a Chinese-developed wireless-technology.

The top-notch mobile communications podium, the BlackBerry solution, software and services to hold the mobile professionals and consumers coupled with its powerful email, SMS, phone, organizer, web browsing and multimedia applications. Also it is to access a wide range of other mobile business and consumer applications.

RIM looks forward for its seat in China market as it stepped a first step with the collaboration of China’s giant IT services provider Digital China. The business partnership with Digital China seems an important move of RIM to expand its market presence in China with the partners’ extensive knowledge in the market.

BlackBerry Storm 2 9520 Touchscreen Smartphone Features

The BlackBerry Storm launched in 2008 around this time had a mixed reaction. Either people loved the BlackBerry Storm or else hated it. For some this handset just felt wrong as if something has come loose, but to many it made a perfect sense. It was Research-in-Motion’s premier handset.

Now the BlackBerry Storm 2 9520 have hit the mobile market. The floating screen of BlackBerry Storm series has been retained and updated in it. Research-in-Motions makes us believe that it is better than the original BlackBerry Storm. Added feature in the second edition of the Storm series is its Wi-Fi and increased Flash memory. Oh! yes, social network is more integrated in BlackBerry Strom 2.

BlackBerry Storm 2 is little bigger than the original Storm. It has just gained 0.5mm in length, 0.05mm in thickness and weight wise it is 5g heavier than its predecessor. There is a slight difference in the screen. The original BlackBerry Storm screen was prone to collect dust in the corners, but this new version of the handset has improved screen corners that have less room to collect dust.

Blackberry Storm 2 9520In appearance the BlackBerry Storm 2 is less blocky. The strident chrome stripping is seen being toned down in it little and the buttons such as the volume rocker, programmable voice notes button or else the camera shutter button reflects the generic black rubberized coating of BlackBerry.

As a whole, this new version looks somewhat identical to the original BlackBerry Storm. The common features in both the handsets of the Storm series are micro USB, 3.5mm headphone slots, mute buttons on top, touch sensitive power or lock, and of course the customary button rows at the bottom such as call start and stop, back and menu. These functions have been incorporated into the screen without sitting below as hard buttons.
