In Australia the BlackBerry Bold 9700 will be made compatible to the Telstra Next G network.

According to the Product Management Executive Director of Testra, Ross Fielding, “Lighter and more powerful, the new Blackberry 9700 has a full keyboard and push email service which will help customers stay connected to their email, office calendar and the mobile internet. Teamed with Telstra’s Next G network it provides outstanding smartphone performance in more places.”

This new handset of BlackBerry packages 624 MHz processor along with a 2.44-inch light-sensing screen. The mobile is also well equipped with a touch-sensitive trackpad feature, which will allow intuitive and smooth responsive navigation to the user.

The BlackBerry Bold has 3.2-megapixel camera with auto focus and flash. It is also loaded with Wi-Fi connectivity feature of 802.11 b/g, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 and a QWERTY keyboard. The mobile supports memory up to 32GB in microSD and also wide range of multimedia facilities that are available exclusively for BlackBerry operating system. The handset is preloaded with BlackBerry Maps.

The standby battery backup of BlackBerry Bold 9700 is 13.5 days i.e. 324 hours, giving a talk time of 4.5 hours.
