The BlackBerry Storm launched in 2008 around this time had a mixed reaction. Either people loved the BlackBerry Storm or else hated it. For some this handset just felt wrong as if something has come loose, but to many it made a perfect sense. It was Research-in-Motion’s premier handset.

Now the BlackBerry Storm 2 9520 have hit the mobile market. The floating screen of BlackBerry Storm series has been retained and updated in it. Research-in-Motions makes us believe that it is better than the original BlackBerry Storm. Added feature in the second edition of the Storm series is its Wi-Fi and increased Flash memory. Oh! yes, social network is more integrated in BlackBerry Strom 2.

BlackBerry Storm 2 is little bigger than the original Storm. It has just gained 0.5mm in length, 0.05mm in thickness and weight wise it is 5g heavier than its predecessor. There is a slight difference in the screen. The original BlackBerry Storm screen was prone to collect dust in the corners, but this new version of the handset has improved screen corners that have less room to collect dust.

Blackberry Storm 2 9520In appearance the BlackBerry Storm 2 is less blocky. The strident chrome stripping is seen being toned down in it little and the buttons such as the volume rocker, programmable voice notes button or else the camera shutter button reflects the generic black rubberized coating of BlackBerry.

As a whole, this new version looks somewhat identical to the original BlackBerry Storm. The common features in both the handsets of the Storm series are micro USB, 3.5mm headphone slots, mute buttons on top, touch sensitive power or lock, and of course the customary button rows at the bottom such as call start and stop, back and menu. These functions have been incorporated into the screen without sitting below as hard buttons.
