Nokia’s promise to maintain Symbian Smartphones alive in the market has proved successful with the announcement of Nokia X7 device. This will be there first attempt in making the shift from the original platform.
Nokia X7 has a fairly large screen about 4 inches wide and is 12mm thick. This product is definitely not the sleekest phones, but has smooth round edges to give it an elegant look.
An 8MP camera, which is capable of HD video recording, is one of the amazing features this mobile has to offer in its basket. Even the shutter speed is decent in test runs but it would have been more convenient if it would jump back to the viewfinder after the snap has been taken.
In our opinion the Symbian update is very simple when considering the various Smartphones that Nokia is bringing into the mobile wars.
QWERT has been added and the home screen slides along with a fingertip. Speaking of the portrait keyboard, it works well for entering text, as it may take few days to get use to the new system.
But we must give complete marks for the sensational video playback system it has in place. The Clear Black OLED screen performs its job up to the mark. We want to specify this aspect because the resolution of video is so good even without HD video feature.
But the internet browser is pretty sloppy and not even gets a high speed. Overall it has been enhanced but not meeting the expectation that we would expect in a current Smartphone ongoing competitors race. Downloading and scrolling took a lot of time thus at this point we definitely find some software upgrade is direly required.
Looks like it’s yet another Nokia X7 mobile that has more flattering features to deceive than being useful. If this is cheaper than the running rivals then only it has a chance to survive in the crazy competitors market.
We can say that Symbian Anna is surely an upgrade but not sufficient enough to change our decision, as the time required for opening and downloading files is a major hitch that this Smartphone is experiencing currently. As of now the only better aspect can be the home screen up gradation which is better than Nokia 8 model.
Nokia as always is striving hard to be one of the best mobile phone manufacturer and dealers since past few years. Again it has plans to launch a new cell phone and has named it as Nokia 700 Zeta. Still we have not heard about its official announce and launch dates but rumors about this cool phone seem to ignite a number of curious mobile savvy folks. However we have gathered some preliminary data review and specification about this phone.
