The Xperia X10 launched via AT&T

The all new Android phone from Sony Ericsson, the Xperia X10, has been released via AT&T in the United States. The Xperia X10 boasts a 4.0″ TFT capacitive touchscreen, which has been the center of much criticism from many for being overtly large, even larger than an iPhone’s. But on the other hand many have welcomed the larger screen size saying that it would make writing texts and emails easier. This is Sony Ericsson’s first foray in the Android phone market.

The phone is well built and has many subtle but elegant styling features like the well arrayed keys at the bottom of the screen. The X10 features a 1 GHz SnapDragon processor, 384 MB RAM, 1 GB internal memory, you also get WiFi (802.11 b/g), HSDPA (7.2Mbps), HSUPA (3.6 Mbps), Bluetooth 2.1 (with A2DP), AGPS and microUSB. The built in accelerometer and digital compass are seemly. It has a pretty decent eight megapixel camera with autofocus, 16x digital zoom, image stabilization, face detection, geotagging, touch focus and LED flash.

In reality it is even comparable to the Google nexus one, apart from the 512 Mb ram and the multi-touch of the Nexus one. The phone carries a price tag of $149.99 with a 2 year AT&T contract. The first problems that you notice are the rather jerky performance and the failure of the text input to display the input via the touchscreen.

Sony Ericsson has also incorporated two new features into the Xperia X10, Timescape and Mediascape. Timescape puts together all your tweets, texts and emails in an interesting 3D chronology. While Mediascape shows all the music, pictures, videos and photos from online photo sharing sites, like Facebook & Picassa, on your cell phone. Both are pretty nifty features but aren’t much to talk about once you’ve gotten over the fanciness of the phone. Also downloading new apps from the Android store is pretty simple too. All in all the Xperia X10 is a pretty good Android phone for all you people looking to switch to Android.

Pro’s: Large 4” touchscreen , 8.1 megapixel camera with face detection and image stabilization, good build quality .

Cons: No multi touch option, large size.

Sony Ericsson S312 Review

If you believe in communication rather than flaunting on style with smart phones then you have gift from Sony. New S312 completely serves the purpose of keeping your budget under control and giving you pure telephony experience. Market is full of cheap headset and S312 is not the cheapest hand set available but it certainly stands out from the crowd, as other cheap handsets neither have looks nor features. Usually cheaper hand set lack quality and have limited controls, they are clumsy to use and not handy to carry.

Unlike cheap hand set Sony Ericsson 312 weighs much higher than its cost. It follows traditional candy bar style design with incredible makeover looks including glossy mirror coating, stylish key pads where Sony Ericsson S312keys are arranged in horizontal four row fashion. It gives firmer grip. Though its back side has little plastic looks but this is highly overlooked by other strong features. Its over all design beats all other handset in same segment. It has very compact design thus headphone jack shares charging port.

S312 comes with two camera controls, one for taking still images and other to shoot videos. It has basic 15MB storage to store images and videos but it gives you power of added extra storage with memory slots, here you can add cards and enjoy unlimited storage. It uses M2 memory slots than popularly used microSD slots. Some may find M2 rather expensive to use as it is different from widely used standard slots.

The most rewarding thing about S312 is that it uses standard symbian operating system used in many top selling smart phones of Sony Ericssion handsets. It is highly user friendly, easy to use menus with grid layout views, this help easy accessibility to all the features. Key pad is wide and convenient for using longer text messages.

Sony Ericsson T650i Phone Review

Sony Ericsson T650iPassionate, lovely, romantic, pretty, dreamy and idealistic… don’t wonder if I comment T650i Sony Ericsson. It is fairly apt for this 3G mobile. In the three quixotic colors like Growing Green, Midnight Blue and Eclipse Black, this Sony T650i simple chocolate mob makes an impression along with an average set of features.

It is damn sad if your handset have the most wonderful features but it looks so cheap and unfit in chic hands. Here, you go for T650i and feel worthy in features and in classy too. Its clean profile and stainless steel body bring a feeling of elegant and simple in solid build 3G mob world.

The features of the T650i also attract the buyers with its design-centric model for market. It got score above average on its overall performance. Its TFT display supports 256k colors and 240 x 320 pixels resolution. The screen can be translucent though the sunlight is so strong and a special cover is protected the screen from scratches.

The more pleasant value of it goes to embrace 3.2 Megapixel camera with flash, 3x digital zoom and autofocus. And Sony offers a broad range options and settings in its camera as it has white balance in daylight, cloudy fluorescent and incandescent, effects of BG, sepia, negative and solarize and twilight landscape, twilight portrait, landscape, portrait and beach/snow scene modes to embellish the SE’s T650i. A secondary camera for video-call purpose and a light sensor makes it so trendy. It also offers an A2DP compatible Bluetooth connection.

The UMTS network compatibility T650i tri-hand set lacks EDGE connectivity, and 3G and HSCSD data transfer speeds not that much expected. It has a medium GSM signal reception and the sound is enough loud even to talk in the city traffic.

T650i provides an ARM9 processor of up to 197 MHz speeds. The internal memory of 16 MB is not offering a pretty storage space as the big size pictures consume more space.
The Walkman player version 1.0 music player can recognize MP3, AAC, AAC+, E-AAC+, M4A, WAV, WMA and MIDI file formats. Moreover its FM radio can store around 20 stations for the radio manic.

This handset of Sony gives a 930 mAh Li-Polymer battery7 hours of talk time and 300 hours in standby mode.

Also it has all basic 3G applications including 1000 contacts storage phonebook of 5 info slots features for every contact.
